So, a new daily chore emerged the minute the boys came home with us: bottles. Jack & Luke eat 16 bottles a day between the two of them, and we've tried to come up with a system to get them cleaned each day. For over a month, we washed them by hand as our dishwasher isn't full every day, but let me tell you, that got old really fast. So now, we've chosen sanity over earth-friendliness and run the dishwasher every day to wash all of them. Thank goodness for dishwasher baskets to hold all the pieces!
Once everything is clean, it's laid out to dry on the counter (severly limiting our counter space), and then it takes about an hour to put the bottles together and make 24 hours worth of formula, which take up an entire shelf in the fridge. Then, wake up the next day and repeat...again and again and again...
Below are pics documenting the entire process from start (buckets full of dirty bottles and parts) to end (a stocked fridge).
