Heartsill Happenings: 14 Months Old

I can't believe our babies are 14 months old--and toddlers! They are working on their walking skills; it's so neat watching them take steps all over the house with their little arms raised up for balance. They continually amaze me with how much they learn every day!

So what are Jack and Luke up to at 14 months?

~ They wear 12 month clothes, a few 12-18 month items, and size 4 shoes
~ They wear size 4 diapers, size 5 at night
~ We still aren't exactly sure what their eye color is--we think it's hazel.
~ Their hair is starting to grow a bit more, and it looks like it's going to be blond or dirty blond.
~ We are down to just 1 bottle a day in the morning (hard to believe when we think back to all the bottles we were making just a year ago!). I was planning on dropping the bedtime one last, but they gave that one up on their own. They still guzzle the morning bottle down, but we'll soon be dropping that one as well.
~ As for food, both Jack and Luke are great eaters! They aren't picky and will pretty much eat anything, which is such a blessing! And it makes dinner prep easy: whatever meal I cook for Alan and me, they eat as well! They do have some favorites though: blueberries (and really any fruit), sweet potatoes, chicken nuggets, and pizza (a rare treat).
~Sleep has gotten much better in the past few months. They still sleep 2 naps, but they no longer wake up once a night--yea! They go to bed around 7 or 7:30pm (depending on how well they napped during the day), and wake up at 6:30--but I don't get them up until 7am.
~Both Jack and Luke say "Dada," and I've heard them say "Mama" a few times, but mainly they just say Dada and make other noises. They understand a lot of words, they just don't say them: No, Sippy, Bath, Potty, Ball, Truck, Window, Nana, Grammy, and a few others I can't think of right now.
